This Family Accidentally Texts Their Baby News To Complete Strangers, But What They Did Next Is Amazing

We’ve all been there.. you send a text and somehow it’s gone to the wrong number then panic sets in, you send a few ‘sorry’ messages explaining the blunder..and never hear from the person again.

This wasn’t exactly the case for brand new parents Lindsey and Mark Lashley who welcomed their baby Cason Knox recently.

Mark’s mother Teresa was texting updates of the progress to a total stranger and they had no idea of this while Lindsey was giving birth. Oh no.

Teresa was sending a large group message for family and friends only but somehow Dennis Williams’ number was included.

Dennis, a little confused was glad that everything was going well but had no idea who these people were. Haha.

Now, usually, there’s an apology and all ends well.. but Dennis felt the need to go and see the new baby with his brother, Deorick, from congratulating the new parents in person.

Mark revealed that his mother didn’t realize she was inviting a stranger up to the room where he and his wife were enjoying the first hours with their baby.

He explained:

“It was different. I mean, my friend just walked in and said: ‘There are some more people coming down the hallway,’ and we didn’t know who they were and they said, ‘Oh, we’re the ones who got the random text message.’

“The reason it happened was my cousin had a new phone and I guess those boys ended up with her old number.”

Mark, finally understanding the mixup, was so grateful for the brothers coming along to congratulate them on the new arrival of their child.

He added:

“[My mother] thought she was still talking to my cousin, that’s who she thought she was talking to,” Mark added. “I don’t think we would have randomly invited them over but we appreciate it and the gifts. You don’t hear about much compassion in the news anymore.”
