New Harry Potter-Styled Cafe Sells Butterbeer Coffee In Magical Surroundings

Great news for all the Potterheads out there, a new cafe is open for business, and they’ve got a fan favourite on their menu.

The aptly named Steamy Hallows in New York City is catered to fans of the fantasy series of books and films.

And their Butterbear coffee is sure to add an extra bit of oomph to The City That Never Sleeps!

The themed cafe is filled with nods to the Harry Potter universe and vintage decor.

While fans may travel to the Universal Studios theme park to experience all things Potter, some locals may find this a nice little antidote while saving money.

Unassuming from the outside, it’s located on 514 East 6th Street.

Described as a “grab and go” style café, there are only four stools along the wall. More in tune with the Italian caffeine experience, and although the perfect spot get snaps for Instagram, it’s not somewhere you’ll spend a lengthy jaunt. Still, punters are bound to enjoy whatever time they spend here.

Owner Zach Neil, wanted the café to look like what a small coffee shop might appear as in Diagon Alley.

He said he avoided going too over the top so as to not disturb the customer experience. What features is subtle yet obvious to those who know what to look out for.

The cauldron full of billowing smoke at the window, for example, will definitely make you feel like you’re creating potions in class at Hogwarts. At worst, it will get you in the winter spirit!

The Steamy Hallows ceiling is also meant to evoke the floating candles and night sky effect of the Hogwarts Great Hall, where students dine in style.
