Jim Carrey Slammed For ‘Sick’ Comment Made To Journalist

Jim Carrey is in hot water after he made what many have deemed to be an innapropriate comment to a journalist.

The journalist in question is, Charlotte Long, from Heat magazine, who was interviewing the 58-year-old actor in promotion for his upcoming movie, Sonic The Hedgehog.

Carrey spoke a lot about the movie, but it’s one of his final comments which have left people on the internet totally triggered.

The comment was made after the journalist asked Carrey what he has left in life to accomplish?

Carrey replied to her question, saying:

Just you.

The interviewer then replied saying she didn’t know how to respond to his comment, to which Carrey said: ‘Just own it’.

Check it out below:

The actor has been called out online after making the comment with many saying he’s ‘cancelled’ and others claiming they’ve lost respect for him.

One wrote:

Such a huge fan of @JimCarrey but lost respect for him today. This is really unacceptable, I wish and hope he apologises to you.

Another explained:

Unfortunately it turns out Jim Carrey is a massive sleazebag.

A third said:

Why is this kind of thing still going on? Well handled, you’re a legend.

A representative for Carrey commented saying the remark was quite clearly a joke made in good nature.
