Jennifer Lopez Sued For $150,000 Over Instagram Photo

Quarantine in the Lopez household just got a helluva lot worse after it emerged she is being sued for $150,000 over an Instagram post.

Lopez posted a photo to the picture sharing site, but one person has a monstrous problem with it and wants Lopez to pay.

Why? Because he, photographer Steve Sands, claims he owns the image.

Although the image is of Lopez herself, Sands says that she has no rights over the image and does not have the right to post it…

According to court documents filed in New York and obtained by Fox News, professional photographer Steve Sands is suing the 50-year-old singer and her production company, Nuyorican Productions, for copyright infringement.

Sands argues the image was used without his permission to ‘promote their brand’ to JLo’s millions of Instagram followers.

The image in question was posted by JLo back in 2017 before being reportedly deleted.

Sands’ attorney, Richard Liebowitz, said:

This is an example of celebrities using photographers photographs without permission to brand themselves on social media. The number of likes the photograph receives coupled with their number of social media followers is a tool to commercialize their posts.

Who knows what’ll happen next.
