Fans Think The Simpsons Predicted Tom Hanks’ Coronavirus

Tom Hanks was the first A-list celebrity to emerge from the darkness, announcing he, and his wife Rita, tested positive for coronavirus.

Hanks took to social media to announce the news in the early hours of yesterday.

He wrote:

Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

Take care of yourselves!

These days we’re living in are certainly dark and there seems to be little positive news anywhere at all.

All we hear is more cases, more death, and ‘self-isolation’. But for a moment, let’s try and take our minds off it with a story about how The Simpsons of all people may have predicted Tom Hanks’ diagnosis. Say what?!

Tom Hanks had a cameo in the Simpsons Movie back in 2007, and now some fans are claiming the film predicted his diagnosis.

Now for the bad news, it’s highly unlikely they actually predicted Tom Hanks’ coronavirus, but some people are buying it.

Why? Because in it, he tells the general public to ‘Leave me be’. Is that a reference to self-isolation? Self-quarantining? Probably not. It’s probably just a complete coincidence.

What do you reckon?
