Woman Declared Dead Wakes Up In Funeral Home

A woman who was legally declared dead was found alive in a US funeral home.

The Detroit woman was shipped off to a funeral home only for petrified workers to discover she was still alive and breathing.

Paramedics who attended her home repeatedly failed to resuscitate her and pronounced her dead.

The James H. Cole Funeral Home explained told ABC.

While it is our practice not to comment on open investigations, we can confirm that on Sunday, August 23, 2020, we received a call to pick up a Southfield woman who was deceased.

Upon arrival at the funeral home, our staff confirmed she was breathing and called EMS.

Southfield Fire Chief Johnny Menifee added:

The paramedics performed CPS and other life-reviving methods for 30 minutes. Given medical readings and the condition of the patient, it was determined at that time that she did not have signs of life.

The patient was again determined to have expired and the body was released directly to the family to make arrangements with a funeral of their choosing.

Amazingly the woman was later found to be alive and had a decent heart rate.

She was transported to a nearby hospital who refused to release any more information.
