Alex Bozarjian, a journalist and news reporter for WSAV News was making a live news report on Saturday when she was subjected to an inappropriate slap to her butt.
To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: You violated, objectified, and embarrassed me. No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere!! Do better. https://t.co/PRLXkBY5hn— Alex Bozarjian (@wsavalexb) December 7, 2019
Responding to the incident, Bozarjian took to Twitter to slam the unidentified runner. She explained how the incident had made feel and she called for men to do better.
Women and men alike took to the post and offered their sympathies and support to the young news reporter.
You handled it with grace, my friend. This is not acceptable and the community has your back 👊🏼— Emma Hamilton WJCL (@EmmaHamiltonTV) December 7, 2019
Fellow news reporter, Emma Hamilton responded to Bozarjian’s tweet and let her know that the entire news community has her back.
But it isn’t only the world of news broadcasters that want to fight Bozarjian’s corner. In fact, a group of savvy Twitter users endeavored to find out the man’s identity and make him pay.
Can’t make out his. But the bib numbers of others around him are 7385, 7501, and I think 2739 or 2734.— Samantha Rose (@SRoseesq) December 7, 2019
Once results posts, I’ll find him. pic.twitter.com/ttUArpZaGM
Despite being caught on camera, it proved difficult to make out the runner’s bib number.
That being said, where there’s a will, there’s a way and through the powers of social media, they were successfully able to identify their suspect.
Oh they found him alrighthttps://t.co/iAFbcMO0ae— Ms. Fields (@4footballfields) December 8, 2019
As of yet, it is unclear what actions are being taken against the man… although the thread offered plenty of creative ideas.
That would certainly show him, eh!
