Leonardo DiCaprio has pledged to donate money to help combat the wildfires devasting Australia.
Earth Alliance, an environmental organization where Leonardo is co-chair, pledged to donate $3million and announced the launch of the Australia Wildfire Fund.
The fund is being donated in response to the wildfires in Australia and the devastation that it has left behind.
So far 28 people have died as a result of the fires.
There is thought to be millions of dollars worth of damage with it currently being estimated that 41,000 square miles and 2,200 homes have been burnt by the wildfires.
The fires are thought to have wiped out some entire species having killed over 800 million animals.
On Thursday Earth Alliance said that it had started the Australia Wildfire Fund in response to the “international response to the catastrophic bushfires”.

Whilst the organization is helping to raise money, Aussie Ark, Bush Heritage, and WIRES Wildlife Rescue will be implementing the actions that will be happening on the ground.
100% of the profits donated to the Australia Wildfire Fund will be used to assist local firefighting efforts, support the local communities affected, rescue and recover wildlife and implement long term solutions.
DiCaprio isn’t the only one to have donated, with other celebrities jumping in to donate.
Among them are Chris Hemsworth who donated $1 million, Kylie Mingue and family who have given $500,000 and Selena Gomez who donated $3 million to help the cause.
Others who have donated include Elton John, Margot Robbie, Lizzo and Kylie Jenner.
