In the past few hours, thousands upon thousands of people have paid tribute to basketball legend, Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away yesterday.
However one of them is causing a little speck of controversy after some Twitter users branded it inappropriate.
Kobe’s daughter Gianna, who was just 13-years-old was also killed in the tragedy.
In total it’s thought that nine people passed away. So far girls basketball coach Christina Mauser, John Altobelli, the head baseball coach at Orange Coast College along with his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa, are among those confirmed as fatalities.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation however eyewitnesses claim it caught fire and began ‘spluttering’ before hurtling towards the ground.
Experts however believe that fog was a key factor, after it emerged that the fog was so bad visibility was extremely low.
Countless celebs paid tribute to Kobe, but Justin Bieber’s striked a lot of controversy.
Bieber shared this throwback snap of the 2, saying:
It can’t be. You always encouraged me mamba. Gave me some of the best quotes that we smile about to this day! Love you man!
And while it may read harmless enough, some users were less than impressed.
One user wrote:
There are a lot of me’s in your tribute to him…remember 9 people perished. No one cares about the encouragement he gave YOU. IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU.
Do you think Justin went too far?
