There have been quite literally millions of films made about Ireland with truly despicable attempts at the Irish accent.
Okay maybe not millions but there’s a lot.
However this upcoming blockbuster hailing straight outta Hollywood is being referred to as the worst of the worst when it comes to accents and it’s not even been released yet!
The film is called Wild Mountain Thyme and has an all star cast consisting of Jamie Dornan, Christopher Walken, Emily Blunt, and Jon Hamm.
But just what is it all about? Well according to the synopsis, Wild Mountain Thyme, tells the story of:
The movie centers on headstrong farmer Rosemary Muldoon (Blunt), who has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly’s (Dornan) love.
The problem is Anthony seems to have inherited a family curse, and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer.
Stung by his father Tony Reilly’s (Christopher Walken) plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew (Jon Hamm), Anthony is jolted into pursing his dreams in this comedic, moving and wildly romantic tale.
But scrap that. Check out the accents.
The film officially drops one month from now on December 11, which is, my birthday!
