It was news which provided a welcome relief from the relentless onslaught of COVID-19 last month, when Grimes and Elon Musk announced they had named their newborn son X Æ A-12.
And now – the official birth certificate has been released confirming the actual baby’s name!
Understandably, there were more than a few reactions to the announcement, with a large percentage of Twitter forming one opinion or another on it, while the rest made memes about it. Fair play.

But one of the main questions about the perplexing name choice was, ‘How do you actually pronounce it?”
Appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience, the tech billionaire explained:
First of all, my partner is the one who, mostly, actually came up with the name. I mean it’s just X, the letter X. And then the Æ is, like, pronounced ‘ash’… yeah… and then A-12 is my contribution.
