On Sunday, up-and-coming rapper and singer, Juice Wrld, passed away suddenly at the age of 21. His untimely death has whipped up a lot of speculation of why exactly the star died, and today, his cause of death has been revealed.
Yesterday, reports surfaced that the star’s private jet was searched after authorities heard that Juice and his team may have had guns on board. But, law enforcement also ended up seizing 70 pounds of marijuana from the aircraft.
According to TMZ, sources say that at some point between the plane landing and the authorities conducting their search, Juice was seen swallowing several Percocet pills in what people believed was an attempt to hide them.
Sources say the pills might’ve contributed to his death in a possible overdose.
The “Lucid Dreams” hitmaker reportedly suffered a seizure at Chicago Midway airport and was subsequently rushed to hospital at around 02:00 local time (08:00 GMT) on Sunday morning before being pronounced dead.
An autopsy was performed on the singer on Monday but additional testing, including toxicology, cardiac pathology, and neuropathology is still required before determining the official cause.
Following the search of the aircraft, two men were arrested for possession of handguns. One of the men, Henry Dean, was released without bail, and the other man, Chris Long, also got out after paying bail charges.
Thoughts are with the late rapper’s family, friends, and his girlfriend, Ally. R.I.P Juice Wrld.
