Just a few weeks back, tragic news emerged that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend had lost their child.
Teigen stayed almost entirely quiet on social media as her and husband, John Legend, grieved the death of their third child.
Eventually the duo broke their silence in a lengthy blog post, in which Teigen explained why she shared photos in the immediate aftermath of losing her baby.
And now, Teigen has shared photos of a new tattoo which honors her late son Jack.
Breaking his silence, Legend wrote:
This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling. I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world. We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility.
I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test. We promised each other this on our wedding day seven years ago, and every challenge we’ve faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient. Our love will remain. We will never break.
He continued:
Thank you to everyone who has been sending us prayers and well wishes, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy. We feel and appreciate your love and support more than you know. More than anything, we’ve heard so many stories about how so many other families have experienced this pain, often suffering in silence. It’s a club no one wants to be a part of, but it’s comforting to know we’re not alone. I’m sure Chrissy will have much more to say about this when she’s ready. But just know we’re grateful and we’re sending love to all of you and your families.
Then Chrissy herself broke her silence, sharing Legend’s post and writing:
We are quiet but we are okay. Love you all so much.
In the most recent update, Teigen shared a blogpost giving more insight into the horrific tragedy.

Directly addressing those who criticised the photos, Teigen wrote:
I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos. How little I care that it’s something you wouldn’t have done. I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren’t for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like. These photos are only for the people who need them. The thoughts of others do not matter to me.
I feel bad our grief was so public because I made the joy so public. I was excited to share our news with the world. Stories leading up to this had been chronicled for all. It’s hard to look at them now. I was so positive it would be okay. I feel bad that I made you all feel bad. I always will.
She concluded the post thanking those for their support and best wishes.
And now, Chrissy has shared photos of a tattoo she got to honor her late son Jack and make sure that his legacy is never forgotten.
