The woman who died after protesters stormed the Capitol building in Washington DC yesterday has since been identified.
The woman was reportedly shot in the neck by police as she and other protesters tried to storm a barricaded door with armed police on the other side.
Now she has reportedly been identified as 14 year Air Force veteran Ashli Babbit from San Diego.
Her husband, who did not attend the protest, claimed Babbit was a massive Trump supporter.
I feel very sorry for Ashli Babbitt and her family. No matter what she did storming the US Capitol with the mob, I will never celebrate anyone’s death. We must come together as Americans and learn to have empathy for our political enemies or this cycle of violence will never end.

Her family have also spoken out following her death.
Her mother in law quite simply said:
I don’t know why she decided to do this.
Many other protesters were injured during the invasion which was labelled a siege by Joe Biden.
I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!

Dozens of Trump supporters stormed the building and began rioting just hours ago.
Footage shows one woman being rushed away on a stretcher by paramedics.

Thousands of Trump supporters gathered in DC yesterday to have one last stand for the president.
But despite a huge police presence, many of them broke through the barricade and entered the capital building.
They did so as lawmakers inside were debating the certification of the presidential election.

Those protesting and rioting believe Trump won the election and that it was stolen from him.
