Nine Labour And Delivery Nurses At Maine Hospital Are Pregnant At The Same Time

Nine nurses who work in the labor and delivery unit of a Maine hospital are expecting babies of their own in the next few months.

Photos of the nurses were posted to Facebook, where the women showed off their respective bumps and held signs revealing their due dates.

The women are all due to give birth between April and July.

The Facebook post read:

How’s this for a baby boom? Nine of our nurses (8 of whom are in this photo) are expecting babies between April and July! Congratulations!

One of the nurses, Amanda Spear says:

It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together.

Nurse Erin Grenier says:

After each one of us started to say, ‘We’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other.

The hospital said that it is preparing for when the women take their maternity leaves. There are 80 registered nurses currently working in the labor and delivery unit, according to News Center Maine.

“Don’t worry!” The hospital said in a comment. “We have a plan.”
