From The Avengers to Game of Thrones, she had a wonderful career.
But she is best known to younger audiences for playing Lady Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones from 2013 to 2017, who is remembered as being one of the most iconic and beloved characters on the show.
Rigg was born on July 20, 1938, in Doncaster, Yorkshire, and shot to fame in the 60s before enjoying a long and eventful career.
She had a number of huge roles throughout her lengthy acting career, such as Countess Tracy di Vicenzo in James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969).

She is also famous for being the only Bond girl so far to have married the womanising 007, although her character died shortly after the wedding ceremony.
Rigg’s agent confirmed her passing this morning, writing that she died surrounded by family.
It is believed that she passed away due to cancer which she was diagnosed with back in March.
Rest in peace.
