BREAKING NEWS! Buckingham Palace confirms in an official statement that the Duchess Of Sussex, Meghan, went into labour in the early hours of this morning! How exciting!
It’s been reported that Harry has been by her side whilst she’s been in labour.
An official announcement stated:
“The Duchess went into labour in the early hours of this morning. The Duke of Sussex was by Her Royal Highness’ side.
“An announcement will be made soon.”
Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting their first child in October last year, having tied the knot five months earlier in May, so everyone has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the baby.
Kensington Palace tweeted at the time:
“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,”
The baby will be the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.
It’s confirmed that the baby will be seventh in line to the throne, behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and the Duke of Sussex.
Harry and Meghan had reportedly chose not to know the sex of the baby.
