Huge news just in.
The acting legend, most famous for her role in the Bond films as one of the most iconic Bond girls of all time, Margaret Nolan, has tragically died.
Sad to hear actress Margaret Nolan has passed aged 76. Fun and bubbly. Remembered for being an early #Bond Girl and playing busty barmaid types in the #CarryOn films. But more to her than that. A statement confirmed the news of her death.
The statement read:
It’s my sad duty to report that actress and artist, the magnificent Margaret Nolan has passed away.
She was the middle of Venn diagram of everything cool in the ’60s, having appeared with The Beatles, been beyond iconic in Bond and been part of the Carry On cast too.
She was the gold-painted model in the iconic Goldfinger title sequence and poster (she also played Dink in the movie), she appeared in the classic A Hard Day’s Night, Carry On Girls, No Sex Please We’re British & many others, frequently sending up her own glamourpuss image.
We are very sad to learn that Margaret Nolan has passed away at the age of 76. Margaret played Dink in Goldfinger (1964) and also appeared painted gold in the iconic opening credit sequence and on the Goldfinger poster. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. pic.twitter.com/aVIsqkGIxK— James Bond (@007) October 12, 2020
She was just 76 years old.
Our thoughts go out to Nolan’s family’s and friends during this awful time.
Rest in peace.
