Mama Mia! Swedish pop music superstars, Abba, are coming back and they’re set to drop five completely new songs next year.
2020 may have been one of the worst years in human history, but come on! ABBA are back! It can only get better right? Surely.
The Swedish four-piece known for a plethora of classic hits such as Dancing Queen, Waterloo, The Winner Takes It All, and dozens more, plan to release the five new tracks as part of their iconic reunion.

Geoff Lloyd, who co-hosts the Reasons To Be Cheerful podcast explained that he had recently been chatting to ABBA star, Björn Ulvaeus, who made the revelation.
Geoff said:
I got to spend an hour with Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA via Zoom. He’s quarantining – he’s got an island in the Stockholm archipelago.
They’ve recorded five new songs. They should have been out at the end of last year… Because of technical difficulties and the pandemic, it’s delayed things. But he promised me that the new ABBA music will be out in 2021.

But just how long have we been waiting for new music? Well ABBA’s last album dropped almost 40 years ago, back in 1982. Three unreleased songs were later released in 1994, which is 26 years ago.
I think the time is right Bjorn!
