You Can Now Buy Pizza-Flavored Candy Canes

It’s becoming more common for food companies to create new and interesting flavored replicas of their usual popular treats. With Christmas on the approach, festive flavors are a given right? But one company may have gone a little too far with this version of a much loved treat..and it’s interesting.

Novelty gift specialists Archie McPhee have well and truly done something we never thought we’d ever see working..

Archie McPhee is now offering their customers pizza-flavored candy canes. Yes… PIZZA!

The multi-colored peppermint poles are delicious but somehow i can’t imagine this version being that nice…

They are retailing at $6.50 for a set of six.

The official product description on the Archie McPhee website states:

“If you want pizza flavor, these candy canes deliver! (In 30 minutes or less.) A sure sign of the quality of these canes is the personified pizza slice on the package. Who wouldn’t trust that face? This set of six candy canes is like a little slice of Italian-spiced heaven, allegedly cooked in a candy-fired oven by Sicilian elves. Each candy cane is 5-1/4″ tall with red and yellow stripes.”

Despite the claims of elf-operated ovens, the bullet-pointed product summary admits that the canes are in fact “not baked in a wood fire oven,” though it does assert that “each cane is a little slice of heaven.”

There are reports that the company are also offering “hamdy canes” and “kale candy canes” – EW!

It apparently delivers “the bitter grassiness of your favorite vegetable.” Yeah i think i’ll pass on that one.
