Pizza… it’s good… pretty much whenever right? It makes you happy and full at the same time! Yay for pizza!
Well good news pizza lovers, as a dietitian has claimed that a slice of pizza could be just as healthy as a bowl of cereal… I’LL TAKE IT!

“Pizza can be a more balanced breakfast option than many sugar-filled breakfast cereals.
“A slice of plain cheese pizza contains a balance of carbs, protein, and fat. A bowl of sugary cereal with low fat milk is largely sugar and extremely carb-heavy.”
I mean, it’s probably not advisable to have a slice or whole pizza every morning but Chelsey points out that in some cases it’s a healthier option than a bowl of sugary cereal.
Chelsey encourages people to “focus on a balance of high fiber carbohydrates, lean protein, and healthy fats to stay full throughout the morning.”
“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories”
“However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.” She was quick to point out that it’s not the ‘most nutritious option’. But when compared with a bowl of sugary flakes, it’s a more balanced meal.
“Plus, a slice of pizza contains more fat and much less sugar than most cold cereals, so you will not experience a quick sugar crash”
