It’s that time of year where many of us are digging out our puffer jackets to wrap up for the winter months. But the latest bizarre fashion trend has seen one designer go a step further to create puffer jacket dresses.
Italian fashion house, Moncler, unveiled a hybrid between the classic puffer jacket and a gown during their winter 2018 collection, and the ensemble has certainly been turning heads of fashion fanatic folk.
The “Down-Quilted Long Puffer Dress” is sleeveless (so not totally practical) and features a statement high neckline and hidden zipper in the back – available in cobalt blue and pink. But the best news of all? It has pockets too!
Don’t start scrambling around for your debit card just yet, as the attention-grabbing garment will set you back a hefty $2,710. All in the name of fashion, right?
The dress can also be paired with matching gloves, retailing for $1,500, so you can keep extra warm this winter.
The winter-ready gowns are apart of the Italian designer’s collaboration with Maison Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, which also features several other quilted garments including a padded floor-length cape to throw over the top.
Despite the hefty price tag, fashion fanatics have already been rushing to get their hands on the puffer jacket dress. So much so, that the range is completely sold out on Barneys’ website.
So it seems whether you like it or not, the puffer jacket dress is here to stay.
