Viewers Are Calling Netflix’s New Horror ‘The Scariest Movie Of 2019’

Despite us being well and truly in the festive season, nothing quite beats a good old fashioned horror movie to spice things up a little.

Netflix has been on top form this month with it releasing a tonne of new and exciting content, but one of it’s newest movies has been branded as “the scariest movie of 2019.”

It’s an Irish horror movie called The Hole in the Ground.

The movie made its debut at Utah’s Sundance Film Festival in March and it was launched into cinemas over the summer, but it has finally dropped on Netflix this month.

From the mind of the director, Lee Cronin, The Hole In The Ground has got everyone talking.

The official synopsis reads, “A young mother living in the Irish countryside with her son suspects his increasingly disturbing behavior is linked to a mysterious sinkhole in the forest, and fears he may not be her son at all.”

People have already been voicing their opinions over the movie, and it’s safe to say that they are pretty freaked out.

“Saw The Hole In The Ground on Netflix last night – a proper Irish horror with great central performances, beautifully shot with a really atmospheric score. Check it out!” one Twitter user wrote.

The Hole In The Ground is one of my favorite movies of the year. A lot of great shots, very tense, and a pretty nice pace. Not much to complain about. Very good horror movie,” another wrote.
