The last time The Bride was on screens, she was executing the infamous five-point palm exploding heart technique. But it seems there could be more in the canon for the iconic franchise, as Quentin Tarantino has revealed that a much-demanded Kill Bill Vol. 3 is “definitely in the cards.”
The director spoke with Andy Cohen on Sirius XM Radio earlier this week and revealed that a recent dinner with Uma Thurman has inspired him to come up with a storyline for a third installment of the blood-soaked franchise.
“Well, I just so happen to have had dinner with Uma Thurman last night. We were at a really cool Japanese restaurant,” he revealed. “She was bragging about me, and I was bragging about her. It was a lovely night.”
Tarantino continued: “Well, I do have an idea of what I would do. That was the whole thing, conquering that concept… exactly what’s happened to The Bride since then, and what do I want to do.
“Because I wouldn’t want to just come up with some cockamamie adventure. She doesn’t deserve that!”
The legendary director, who had previously hinted at another sequel, has admitted that we may have some time to wait to see The Bride on screens once more.
“The Bride has fought long and hard. Now, I have an idea that actually could be interesting. I wouldn’t do it for a little bit, though. It would be like at least three years from now, or something like that,” he explained.
“But, look, it is definitely in the cards.”
Kill Bill Vol. 1 hit screens in 2003, followed by Kill Bill Vol. 2 in 2004.
