If all things haunted and terrifying spark your interest then the new documentary coming to Netflix is going on your list to binge-watch.

Netflix is due to be releasing a series documenting America’s Most Haunted Places.

Information is currently sparse with few details being revealed on the untitled series but according to Variety, it has been described as ‘gritty’ and ‘meticulous’.

Whilst we don’t know where they’ll be heading in the documentary, we do know that theres plenty of choices to pick from.

From the LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans where people claim to hear screams of LaLauries victims who died in a fire in 1834 to The Stanley Hotel in Colorado that inspired Stephen King’s best selling film, The Shining. The theory behind The Stanley Hotel claims that a couple, the Stanley’s, opened the hotel but never left. It is said that they can be heard playing the piano at night, lights turning off and children’s laughter.

They won’t be short of options that’s for sure.

With director Joe Berlinger taking charge, we should be in for a treat. His recent credits include Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and feature film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile which were both smash hits.

The documentary is one of two coming to Netflix from Ron Howards and Brian Grazer’s, Image Entertainment which features nearly 20 documentary feature and TV series projects.

The second one detailing sexual abuse within the Catholic Church.

Although, don’t get too excited just yet as release dates for both series are yet to be confirmed.
