Netflix have confirmed that the first part of Lucifer Season 5 will begin streaming on the service from August 21.
The news dropped on the official Twitter account of Lucifer, alongside a 66.6-second clip of Lucifer’s ‘hottest, sexiest, most downright devilish moments’.
For those of you who have never watched Lucifer, it tells the tale of a fallen angel who goes to Los Angeles and runs a nightclub… Pretty bizarre huh. But boy does it have a following!

Then, out of nowhere, a popstar is murdered outside of his club, and Lucifer feels compassion for the first time in somewhere around the 10 billion year mark.
He then works alongside a homicide detective to solve the popstar’s murder.
It’s your classic case of bad boy turns good!

At the time of writing, little is known about what Season Five in particular will be about, but everyone seems to be promising big things.
When Lucifer was renewed for season five, executive producers Modrovich and Henderson said:
We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms.
Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!
I guess there’s less than two months until we’ll find out.

Can’t wait for this.
But as if that wasn’t enough news, Lucifer has also been renewed for a sixth and final season!
Hallelujah.
