Elton John To Host Concert From His Living Room To Raise Money For Coronavirus Victims

Out of all the charitable celebrity actions of the last week or so, this may be our favourite yet.

Sir Elton John is set to host a concert live from his living room in order to help raise funds in the battle against COVID-19.

The pop music icon will be hosting iHeart Radio’s ‘Living Room Concert for America’ next week. The show is an hour-long FOX TV and online benefit concert to support healthcare workers and first responders, who have been heroically helping in the fight against the deadly Coronavirus.

Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey are also among the other acts set to appear on the bill, all performing from their homes with sets recorded on their phones, in order to share the ‘Stay at Home’ message that has become so prevalent over the last couple of weeks, as countries across the world go into lockdown to help stop the spread of the disease.

Viewers will be encouraged to donate to two charities during the show -Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation. The concert will air this Sunday.
