Weinstein is considered vulnerable to COVID-19 due to his weight and age. He also suffers from a heart condition and high blood pressure.
His health played a huge role in his trial. He infamously turned up to court in New York on the first day of his trial with a walking stick and looking particularly frail.
Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year sentence for rape at Wende Correctional Facility in Buffalo, New York – a maximum security prison.
He was convicted of sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raping former aspiring actress Jessica Mann in 2013 following the landmark trial earlier this year.

Prosecutors say Weinstein committed a ‘lifetime of abuse against others’.
Weinstein is currently facing new charges of sexual assault in Los Angeles and is alleged to have attacked five women in California from 2004 to 2013.
If convicted he faces up to 140 years to life in state prison.
Weinstein has denied the charges.
