Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, has tragically been found dead aged just 40-years-old.
Harris, who has three children to Mayweather, was found dead at her home in Valencia, California, on Monday evening.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officers were called to her home where they found Harris unresponsive in her car.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police don’t believe there was any foul play and the case is being treated as a death investigation as opposed to a homicide.
Harris was an aspiring actress who dated Mayweather for 15 years between 1995 and 2010.
Very sad news about Josie Harris. I interviewed her about 7 years ago – she had a great spirit and dope personality. Condolences to Floyd and her children.— DJ Vlad – VladTV.com (@djvlad) March 11, 2020
In 2010 Mayweather was arrested for domestic violence against Harris and was locked up for two months.
Harris claims she was abused on 6 different occasions however Mayweather argued against it.
He later said:
Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that’s domestic violence, then, you know what? I’m guilty. I’m guilty of restraining someone.
His comments infuriated Harris who went to sue him for $20 million for defamation. At the minute the case is still ongoing.
Rest in peace Josie.
