Ex-WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard Goes Missing After Getting Caught In Rip Tide

Tragic news from the world of professional wrestling is breaking this afternoon, with ex-WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard confirmed missing by police after getting caught in a strong rip tide yesterday at Marina Del Rey beach at around 4pm.

According to TMZ, Gaspard and his son were part of a group of people who were caught in the rip tide, although Gaspard’s 10-year-old son was successfully rescued, it is being reported that the former Cryme Tyme star was submerged after another wave crashed down onto him.

Rescuers scoured the area for the 39-year-old before calling off the search at 7.30pm. The hope now is that he is found on land in a surrounding area.

Gaspard worked for WWE as part of the tag team Cryme Tyme, with partner JTG between 2006-2010, and would briefly work as a solo star in 2010 before leaving the company and starting on the independent scene, alongside focusing on his acting career.

Shad’s wife Siliana also posted the message below on her Instagram story.

In the immediate aftermath of the news, there was a huge outpouring of emotion from the wrestling community, hoping and praying that Shad would be found safe.
