Incredibly Kind Man Dedicates His Life To Adopting Senior Dogs

Steve Greig isn’t your ordinary guy, he is extremely generous and has a huge heart. Sharing his home with ten dogs, two ducks, several cats, a pig, two chickens, two pigeons, a rabbit and a bunch of Koi fishes, he definitely has his hands full, but loves his life.

Greig one day sadly lost his dog and growing up surrounded with animals as his parents were animal lovers as well, he knew he’d be the perfect person to help animals who weren’t young anymore.

When Steve’s dog died, he felt like he couldn’t get over the grief, even after months.

He realised that the only way to feel better was to do something good.

Greig went to his local shelter to adopt the least adoptable dog that they had, which is truly an amazing thing. It can be so hard for dog’s to find a forever home, especially if they’re a senior dog.

Instead of mourning for the dog he lost, he decided to adopt a new dog to give him all his love.

Eeyore , a 12-year-old Chihuahua with a heart problem and bad knees was Steves choice… and that was how he started having more than 10 pets in his house…

8 out of the 10 dogs are his as one is owned by his roommate and the other one is his sister’s dog. He likes to have them all and treats his place like a ‘daycare’.

Greig wakes up at 5:00 every morning to make breakfast for everyone and gives medicine to his senior pets.

During his work days, he comes home during lunch to check on the animals.

It’s a tough job to be a dad to at least 10 pets, but Greig is happy and enjoys the company of all of them.

Unfortunately, Senior dogs have less chances of being adopted in shelters because people usually look for puppies.. The perks of senior dogs include liking to nap a lot, get along with other dogs and most of them have a gentler temperament.
